You have to stay motivated to burn fat, lose weight and shape your body. So, here is a weight loss Haiku for you today:

Haiku Friday Fitness

Don’t skip your Friday workout. Why? Because it will be easier for you to skip Saturday and Sunday workouts too.

You definitely want to keep your metabolism active and ramped up. You need to do the things that significantly speeds up your metabolism day to day and over the long haul. Speed up your metabolism to help you burn more calories during the day and at rest.

Here are 2 tips:

a. Do not skip meals (eat 4 to 6 small meals a day). Eating regularly keeps your metabolism humming during the day. Starving yourself or severely cutting your calories will only slow your metabolism.

b. Regular exercise (interval cardio 2-3 days a week/weight training 3 days a week). Building muscle mass will speed up your metabolism because your body has to work harder to maintain muscle.

The more intense the exercise, the more calories and fat you will burn during and after your workout. So, high intensity interval cardio and circuit weight training will give you more fat burn and calorie burn.

  1. Skipping meals is not good, though we can say fasting is one way in losing weight but it is not the best way or shall we say it is not applicable to all individual. We can still eat 3 meals a day even if we want to lose weight, moderation is the key, eat in smaller portion and learn to manage and control our eating habit.
